About Paul Hamilton
Paul's experience in the remedial industry spans some 40 years. He started as a remedial technician at the age of twenty, and in 1992 started his own remedial company which he relinquished all financial interest when he became an independent surveyor in 2001. In January 2007 he became the first independent surveyor member of the Property Care Association (P.C.A.) formerly the British Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing Association (B.W.P.D.A). He is on the examination panel for the oral section of the Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings and has also served on the board of the Property Care Association for some six years. As an Independent Surveyor he has a vast experience within the industry and is employed by specifiers, property developers and the general public surveying and diagnosing damp and timber defects in all types of properties from mid terraced to Graded/listed buildings.
“I would like to thank Paul and his experienced office staff (Jeanette) for his survey and report. After getting two conflicting reports from contractors Paul was able to determine the cause of the of the timber decay and make recommendations, saving us a considerable amount of money.”
